Ch 6

 Episode 1-6: Dona Dona"

●"Dona Dona" is a Yiddish song that originated in the Jewish community during the mid-20th century. The title "Dona Dona" is actually an anglicized version of the Yiddish title "Dana Dana," which means "Donna, Donna" in English. The song is about a calf being led to slaughter and touches on themes of freedom, captivity, and the struggles of life. It's often interpreted metaphorically and has been covered by various artists in multiple languages over the years.

Episode 1-6: Dona Dona

"Alright then, I will take Alicia, whom I have purchased," Gaspar said, beseeching Viscount Rendle, and headed to the reception room to retrieve Alicia, who had been classified as a 'Second Class Slave.'

Upon entering the reception room, Alicia was still asleep.

"Alicia! Wake up, Alicia!"

Gaspar said, removing the blanket and shaking her shoulder slightly, but there was no response. Therefore, he made her inhale a smelling salt, and she immediately regained consciousness.

"Alicia! The purchase negotiations have been settled, and all your rights now belong to the Raymond Trading Company."

After explaining to Alicia, Gaspar's words caused her to burst into tears, stifling her voice.

"...Uuuh..."

And so, I was able to witness the moment when a beautiful noble lady became a 'thing' known as a slave.

Initially, Gaspar had treated Alicia as a "human being," but now he seemed to see her as nothing more than a commodity.

"Alicia, put on this outfit and follow us."

Saying that, Gaspar handed her the slave's clothing. The clothing was made of very thin fabric.

"Um... May I wear underwear?"

Alicia asked with a bewildered face.

"A 'Grade 2 slave' under the care of the slave merchant guild is required to wear this clothing. Additionally, wearing underwear is not permitted."

After being explained this, Alicia reluctantly put on the 'slave outfit' that had been given to her.

As expected, due to the unusually thin fabric, the shape of her breasts and shadows in the crotch area could be seen depending on the lighting. The 'slave outfit' itself barely covered her torso, creating an extremely provocative appearance with her cleavage visible from the sleeveless collar and her bare legs boldly exposed. It seemed as though her crotch would be visible if she walked.

"May I bring my mother's keepsakes?"

Alicia asked Gaspar humbly as they left the corridor.

"Unfortunately, as someone who has become a slave, you are not allowed to own any personal belongings. You have become a 'thing.' Surely you understand that 'things' cannot own objects," Gaspar replied nonchalantly.

Alicia seemed crestfallen, but I couldn't break the rules either.

Up until now, Alicia had occasionally displayed the dignity of a 'Viscount's daughter,' but now as a 'Grade 2 slave' handled by the slave merchant, there was a faint sense of allure emanating from her.

In my perspective, I was bewildered by Alicia's changes, while also being reminded of the enchanting nature of women. However, my desire for Alicia grew stronger, and her current appearance was like poison to my eyes.

So, I draped the coat that was in the carriage over her."

Thank you very much, Harl Raymond-sama."

In response to my actions, Alicia repeatedly thanked me and showed her gratitude.

With this, we left Viscount Rendle's mansion, boarded an inconspicuous two-horse carriage, and headed back to Raymond Trading Company.

In the carriage, Alicia remained silent, perhaps due to nervousness. And eventually, probably due to exhaustion, she had fallen asleep.

"Master Harl, how was this experience for you?"

Gaspar asked suddenly.

"Gaspar, thank you for providing me with such an intriguing experience."

I sincerely thanked Gaspar.

"This was based on your master's instructions, so please remember to thank him later as well."

"By the way, Harl-sama, what did you think of Alicia?"

My face reddened in response to Gaspar's question.

"I think Alicia is a very lovely girl. Considering that she'll be put on display in the shop and sold to unfamiliar customers, it's quite likely I'd feel jealous."

I intended to give a nonchalant response, but my voice betrayed me, becoming somewhat emotional.

"By the way, Gaspar, can you predict Alicia's future?"

To change the topic, I inquired about Alicia's future.

"Well, Alicia's purchase price was 150 platinum coins, a fairly substantial transaction. It's quite rare for the purchase price of a typical noble daughter to exceed 100 platinum coins. The usual rate for a common-quality young lady is around 30 to 50 platinum coins. In Alicia's case, her selling price won't fall below 300 platinum coins. Ideally, with such high quality, we'd want to put her up for auction, but due to the terms of the sales contract, that's not possible."

"Such a provision was included in the sales contract."

"Yes, Viscount Rendle seemed to consider Alicia as the only high-value liquid asset left in the Viscount's household, so he likely wanted to fetch as high a price as possible. However, if she were to be put up for the 'slave auction,' the risk of exposure to acquaintances would rise to an unacceptable level."

I took a gentle glance at Alicia's sleeping face.

"In that case, the only option is to display and sell her at the main store of Raymond Trading Company. But anyone who can afford to pay over 300 platinum coins for a single slave would be limited to high-ranking nobles, wealthy merchants, or perhaps top-tier adventurers."

"High-ranking nobles, wealthy merchants, and top-tier adventurers..."

"Among our esteemed customers who favor our company, there are a few who might be interested in purchasing."

"And these are loyal customers of Raymond Trading Company..."

"Considering their particular proclivities, I believe Alicia would be treated as a lascivious 'sex slave' in any of those cases."

"Alicia as a 'sex slave'..."

"Most likely, she'll be deflowered on the day of purchase itself and within half a year, her body or mind will likely suffer abnormalities, leading to her disposal like tattered rags."

As I listened to Gaspar's predictions, I felt my spirits sink, and unconsciously, I shifted my gaze towards Alicia, wondering if she had heard the conversation. However, she remained unresponsive, as if she hadn't been listening.

After a while, the two-horse carriage safely returned to Raymond Trading Company.
